Climate Impacts Awards: Unlocking urgent climate action by making the health effects of climate change visible
The Office of Grants and Research (OGR), KNUST, invites eligible researchers to apply for funding under the Climate Impacts Awards: Unlocking urgent climate action by making the health effects of climate change visible programme.
The programme, funded by Wellcome, supports transdisciplinary teams to deliver short-term, high-impact projects that make the effects of climate change on physical and mental health visible. The aim is to drive urgent climate policy action at scale by combining evidence generation with influencing and engagement strategies.
Application Deadline
All applications are due by 8 April 2026.
General Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be affiliated with an academic institution, commercial/private sector, government/public sector, or non-profit organization

Propose a project with a clear focus on the health impacts of climate change
-
Demonstrate potential for high policy impact and actionable outcomes

The following are not eligible for funding:

Projects without a clear health or climate impact focus

Theoretical or descriptive studies with no actionable policy component
