The Office of Grants and Research (OGR), KNUST invites applications for the Researcher Collaborations Grant.

This scheme is offered by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) to support researchers in building and strengthening collaborative networks across institutions, disciplines, sectors, and countries.

  • Purpose: Support national, international, interdisciplinary, and cross-sector collaborations

This round is generously supported by the Alec Oxford Charitable Trust, with a particular interest in projects related to chemical biology.


What the Grant Supports:

Funding may be used for:

  • Research visits to potential or existing collaborators (up to three collaborators may be visited, including reciprocal hosting arrangements)

  • Organising meetings or workshops to foster collaboration

  • Activities that bring researchers together beyond their home institution


Eligibility:

  • Open to PhD students and researchers at any career stage.

  • Applicants must be members of the Royal Society of Chemistry in one of the following categories before submission and throughout the grant period:

    • Associate Member (AMRSC)

    • Member (MRSC)

    • Fellow (FRSC)

Undergraduate Student Members (AFU), Affiliate (AFF), and Partner Scientists are not eligible.

The grant aims to:

  • Establish new research partnerships

  • Strengthen existing collaborations

  • Promote interdisciplinary and cross-sector engagement

  • Enhance international research networks
