The grant is designed to help ensure that important nonfiction projects with a confirmed path to publication reach completion.

Eligible Project Areas

The grant supports long-form nonfiction projects such as:

  • Literary criticism

  • Arts writing

  • Political analysis

  • Social reportage

Projects must be actively in progress at the time of application.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be Anglophone writers (any nationality)

  • Have a signed publishing contract OR documented intent to publish for the specific project

  • Be completing a long-form nonfiction manuscript

The following are not eligible:

  • Fiction projects

  • Translation projects

Important Notes

  • The work must be substantially developed and in progress.

  • Proof of a confirmed path to publication is mandatory.

  • Funding is intended to support the final stages of manuscript completion.
