The Office of Grants and Research (OGR), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), invites eligible organisations to apply for funding from Stichting Overal (Foundation “Everywhere”), a Dutch foundation supporting small-scale political, social, cultural, and economic projects that strengthen self-reliance among disadvantaged groups.

Stichting Overal primarily funds projects that are:

  • Initiated by the target groups themselves

  • Inclusive, not excluding participants based on race, religion, gender, nationality, ethnicity, or sexual orientation

  • Designed to achieve educational or emancipatory goals

Funding Scope

  • Projects must be small in scale, compatible with Stichting Overal’s capacity

  • Typical funding ranges from €5,000 to €10,000, with occasional higher grants in exceptional cases

  • Stichting Overal does not fund individuals, only organisations or group-led initiatives

General Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be an organisation or established group, not an individual

  • Provide an independent reference in the Netherlands, who is not involved in the project or organisation but can verify the local context and the project’s feasibility

  • Ensure the project contributes to sustainable improvement of self-reliance for disadvantaged groups

Project Requirements

Applications should clearly describe:

  • Project name and organisation applying for funding

  • Location details: country, region, and local contact information

  • Independent Dutch reference: name and contact details

  • Project summary: idea origin, beneficiaries, local context, and solution approach

  • Sustainability plan: expected long-term outcomes and potential for project self-sufficiency

  • Budget: total project budget, requested amount from Stichting Overal, other partners or sponsors, and contribution from beneficiaries

  • Optional: organisational budget, annual reports, photos, web links, or other supporting materials
