The world's first ever Seminar on Public Law is to be held in Ghana on Saturday, July 30 2016, at the British Council Auditorium, Liberia Avenue, Accra, Ghana.
The Promoter of the Seminar, 77-year old John Salako, Orthodox Christian, Servant of God and Legal Counsel says that “the whole world talks and talks about Public Law, but no one knows what it is all about”
“Ask any Jurist, Honourable Justice, Minister of Justice or Attorney General or Chief Justice, or Professor of Law or the Chair of a Lawyers’ association or whoever you can find in our world today to define Public Law for you and you will be bombarded with theories and statements referable to Constitutional or Administrative Law, Taxation, Custom and Excise, Human Rights, and all sorts.
“But the premise upon which I am promoting 2016 Seminar on Public Law is simply that a good government is founded upon the Will of the People and established upon an incorruptible electoral system. However, those who govern and those who rule and others in quasi-public bodies, including judicial office holders must first submit themselves to Public Law if the Will of the People is to prevail against dictatorship and one man government.
“In the light of the matters aforesaid at the Seminar I shall unveil my own “Draft PUBLIC LAW ACT for all the member states of the United Nations.
“I choose Ghana for this Event because the ancient Gold Coast gave birth to the first ever recorded crime against humanity in 1482.
For 40 years or so, I carried out desk research after desk research concerning my forefathers from the country we now know as Nigeria and I have traced relations to Bahia in Brazil – those who were not beheaded by the citizens of Gold Coast, on arrival at Elmina Castle!
“So therefore, the Seminar will open wounds that many Ghanaians and other Africans would rather not wish to remember.
“However, Ghana and today’s generation of Ghanaians need deliverance from the evil deeds done by the citizens of Gold Coast during a period of 200 years
“Ghana, more than any other country in the whole world needs a PUBLIC LAW ACT on her Statute Book.
“Due to space constraint the Venue for the Seminar can hold a mere 270 Guests whereas the original plan was to find space for 1,500 Guests. Nevertheless, 35 Dignitaries from the Three Arms of State and key
Institutions will be invited and it is hoped the rest of the 235 seats will be taken by Ghanaians in Diaspora, by Representatives of Foreign Governments in Ghana, and by Ghanaians who want Democracy to work in Ghana.”
